What is commercial LVT?
While LVT floors have been a favourite in the commercial flooring industry for a while due to their versatility and aesthetic appeal, commercial-grade LVT is one of the best options for any business.
Like commercial vinyl flooring, commercial LVT is designed with constant pedestrian traffic in mind and has a thicker wear layer to account for this, making it particularly suited for areas experiencing continual footfall every single day. Whether you’re fitting out a bustling office, a retail space, or a busy cafe, commercial LVT floors are made to last.
How much does commercial LVT cost?
Being slightly tougher than standard LVT, commercial LVT can cost more to buy and install compared to home-grade luxury vinyl tiles, especially since you’re likely to be covering larger areas than in a standard home. But that doesn’t mean that our commercial LVT is too expensive for your business. Depending on the thickness, size, and design you choose, commercial LVT can range anywhere from £15-£25 per square metre. Of course, it’s also important to factor in installation costs when considering your budget.
LVT commercial flooring is there to provide you with a cost-effective flooring choice when it comes to upgrading your existing store floor, one that you won’t need to replace for well over a decade or more if you take the time to maintain it properly.
Is LVT suitable for commercial use?
Absolutely, yes! LVT is not only resilient and long-lasting, but it also comes in a variety of flooring options. This means that businesses don’t have to compromise on style while prioritising functionality. Its water-resistant properties make it ideal for places like restaurants or cafés where spills might be a common occurrence. Easy to clean and maintain, our commercial LVT flooring can handle the hustle and bustle of everyday commercial use while remaining pristine and stylish.
Is commercial LVT better than carpet tiles?
LVT is becoming an increasingly popular alternative to carpet tiles for commercial flooring solutions. It offers a variety of benefits, such as durability, ease of maintenance, and affordability. LVT also provides excellent sound insulation and slip resistance.
The primary benefit of LVT is its durability. Commercial LVT is designed to withstand heavy foot traffic and high levels of wear and tear. It’s also much easier to maintain than carpet tiles, which need to be vacuumed regularly and require deeper cleaning from time to time. Additionally, LVT is much more cost-effective than carpet tiles in the long run since it doesn’t require as much maintenance or replacement.
How thick is commercial LVT?
At a minimum, commercial grade LVT will be at least 2mm thick, though plenty of commercial LVT flooring is thicker than this when their enhanced wear layer is taken into consideration.
This thickness strikes a balance between durability and flexibility, allowing for a sturdy floor that can withstand continual heavy use all day long while still being comfortable underfoot for visitors.
